Hildegarde Hamilton, this young American artist, who after holding a fine exhibition at the Bernheim-Jeune Galleries is participating with the Salon of the Independents. She is one of those who has learned the best from the School of Impressionism and has applied its methods with great intensity. Her landscapes receive especial praise, the critics compare them with the work of Cezanne, and speak of the surety of touch and the impression of vigor given by the paintings.
